Hello, I'm Bernadette, my lifelong love of animals started at birth from growing up in a house filled with adored pets. My parents bred dogs, Weimaraners, Doberman Pinschers and Siamese cats. At the age of 12, I started pet sitting and training my Doberman puppy Ben in obedience. He eventually grew to 125 lbs and was quite a challenge for me to handle. But, I was determined and we worked hard to graduate through all the program levels. At that time of my life, my passion was for horses for many years. I started riding, volunteering at local stables and taking riding lessons. That love for horses became very serious in my early 20's when I was working with Show Jumpers and Thoroughbred Racehorses. Which included breeding, foaling, breaking, training and general care. Those horses raced at Belmont Racetrack in New York and wintered in Ocala Florida. This role provided great experiences along with a free apartment on stable property but very little money. So, I was forced to make a career change and moved onto a new phase of my life.

Jumping ahead a bit, life brought me to St Augustine on vacation in 1988. Loved it so much moved here December 1989. Met a local guy, married and raised my son in St Johns County and he graduation from University of Florida. After many years of working in the corporate environment in the Printing & Advertising Industry and Supervising in Retail Sales and Merchandising, I was looking for another change and decided to turn my love for animals into a fun business. I continued my education and received my Pet Grooming Certification from Animal Behavior College. Which required a minimum of 100 hours of hands on training to graduate. I chose to do 160 hours at SAFE Animal Shelter grooming department. SAFE stands for Saving Animals From Euthanasia. Those animals are saved from kill shelters and need help to find their forever home. All my pets have been rescued. I have Rat Terriers now. Since then, I have helped several friends adopt pets from SAFE and other rescue organizations. At that time, I also started pet sitting part time. That was 9 years ago, we are now expanding and offering our services full time in your home to fit your needs.
